Giant Step presents a free concert by one of hip hop’s three main originators of break-beat deejaying, Afrika Bambaataa, respectfully known as the “Grandfather” and “Godfather” of Hip Hop Culture as well as “The Father of The Electro Funk Sound”. Bambaataa’s Iconic dance, hip-hip, electro track “Planet Rock,” helped fuel the development of other musical genres such as freestyle or Latin freestyle, Miami bass, electronica, house, hip house, and early techno.
